Designed and built by Swedish craftsmen using European beech, the top is over 3-1/4" thick in the center with a skirt of 4-1/4". All of the boards used in the top are made from one piece end to end – there are no butt joints anywhere in the tops. This is great benefit, especially with fluctuating humidity conditions. All surfaces are treated with a premium quality enriching oil.The specially developed vises provide enormous clamping power across their full 23-1/2" width. You'll be amazed by their clamping speed, accuracy and smoothness. Suitable for right or left handed persons – in less than two minutes, the vise can be removed and fitted on either side of the bench. A double row of 1" round dogs work from both vises. This bench is available with or without the SM04 cabinet pictured above. It is also available with a 20" extension and the SM04 cabinet and the Elite Accessory Kit consisting of the Elite Hold Down, Jaw Cushions and the Anvil.
